PRS v BEDA

A Copyright tribunal reference concerning the appropriate level of tariff to be paid to composers for the use of music in nightclubs. BEDA's case on the appropriate level of tariff was substancially accepted and the case in one of the rare examples of costs of a reference being awarded in favour of on of the parties. Further the PRS sought to challenge the decision and the decision of the High Court analyses the jurisdiction of the High Court to overturn the Tribunal's decision and when it may be exercised.
